Shannon Haury
Is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Muddy Creek. She joined our practice in August of 2009 after working at the Diabetes Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for 5 years. Shannon is both proactive and preventative in her philosophies on health maintenance and with illness management. In addition to seeing primary care patients, she has continued her care of children and youth with diabetes. Shannon attended Yale University where she focused on primary care, as well as specialized in the care of children with a chronic illness. She received clinical training in various primary care settings as well as the the Yale University Pediatric Diabetes Center, and pioneered the role of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner student at Joslin Clinic in Boston. Her Master's thesis, Family Functioning and Self-Efficacy in Children with Type 1 Diabetes, emphasized the connection between psychosocial functioning and the management of an illness. She remains focused on the mind-body connections between illness and health maintenance.
Shannon lives in Mt. Lookout with her husband, Charlie, and daughter, Giuliana. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and two weimeraners outside, whatever the weather! She has completed two marathons and continues to enjoy running. She also remains active in the diabetes community for support, fund-raising, and promoting awareness.

Toral Freson
Was born in India and raised in Lima, Ohio. She and her husband, Chris, have three beautiful children, Ravi, Anya, and Lela.
Toral received her Bachelor of Science in psychology at Miami University in 1997. She then went on to nursing school at the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000. While getting her Master’s Degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at UC, she continued to work as an RN at Shriners Burn Hospital for Children. When she graduated in 2005, she went on to work as a PNP in Pediatric General Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for three years.
